Dollar Movies This Summer: A Cool Deal You Don’t Want to Miss!
Did you make it to the movies this summer? If not—add it to your list for next year! Regal Theaters hosted their Summer Movie Express, showing popular older movies for just $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 AM. Heads up—if you buy your tickets online, they tack on a $1 convenience fee per ticket. But if you grab your tickets at the theater, it’s truly just a dollar. I know it’s only a buck, but hey—I’d rather put that toward a snack pack or a giant popcorn. Priorities, right? 😂

If you’re like us and snacks are part of the experience, they even had a $5 snack pack option. We went with the $9 large refillable popcorn instead (because, let’s be honest, refills are key when you have three kids with bottomless stomachs). I also packed juice boxes and snacks from home—total mom move, right?
It was the perfect way to beat the heat, break up the week, and do something different without breaking the bank. Even better? Another local theater chain near us was doing $1 movies too, so it’s worth checking around in your area!
Our first movie this summer? Minions. About 10 minutes in, just as the minions dropped a fart bomb in the movie scene—the fire alarm went off. I mean, perfect timing. For a second, we thought we were in some kind of wild interactive theater experience! 😆 Everyone cleared out for about 10 minutes and then headed right back in like nothing happened. Now my kids will forever say, “Remember when the fire happened at the movies?!”
Dollar movie days = core summer memory made.
